The facilities were good and the swimming pools in particular are excellent. Food was also very good at the buffet breakfast, as well as in the Mediterranean restaurant on the ground floor. Location is good, walking street is nearby to the Hotel, also restaurants and bars. The staff were very helpful at all times and at departure date they allowed us late check-out without any additional payment. So this is a good Hotel for relaxation and escaping from city hustle and bustle.
all reviews » The hotel has a great location - it is close to a very well kept Park, and the central commercial street, where a lot of coffee shops are situated. The hotel’s internal and external swimming pools are with hot mineral water, which allows for a swim in the external swimming pool, even when it is winter. We had a relaxing,wonderful weekend. The hotel was cosy in every corner(there was a library, billiards) the room was clean and very good. The spa was amazing. Especially the outdoor pool was so hot and enjoying. The restaurant was very good,the breakfast very nice!!nice hotel,nice staying!. The girl at the pool bar was very nice and the spa was top of the line. The location was fantastic right along a huge park and by the city walking street. Nice hotel nearby tha city-center. Pool and all the other facilities were absolutely free. Pool area is a bit outdated but water has healing properties !!! We did not use the spa facilities. Sandanski is very close to Greece and Macedonia. Also convenient to visit the Melnik pyramides and the Rojen monastery. The location is pretty convenient for those who want to have a direct access to the town market. great hot outdoor pool, especially good in cold days next to a park central location. Very good rooms and fantastic thermal water. Bathroom is little weird, old fashioned and there is no good light so it was pretty dark inside. The food in the hotel's Mediterranean restaurant is overpriced, and not so great. The shallow swimming pool, which could be used by kids is only outside – so visiting with kids in winter is not that good. The swimming pool is overcrowded. The outer front of the hotel needs to be repainted and restored in some parts of the building which is though very nice!. On the second night of our stay I dropped my key under the bed. When I reached under to get it I found 14 empty liquor bottles! I filled a plastic bag with them and brought them down to the front desk and told the woman. No one asked us if we wanted to switch rooms or did anything to rectify the uncleanliness of the room. In a past year the pools hot tab outside are not clean properly - a lot of algae on the side walls. The SPA wraps are already too old and too small to be used for a man. Internet was a constant problem but this is supposed to be fixed soon. Breakfast was a bit of an adventure - if you are not in by 0945, chances were great you would not find a lot of items initially available. Still somevery old parts are not renovated. The food was very bad. The pools warn't clean. Dinner not so good and expensive. Breakfast is not 4* quality. If you have a room towards the poll it can be noisy :(. No hotel policy for regular guests. I'm going to the same hotel every 2-3 months and every time they explain to me about their faciliteis. Furniture. too thin hotel walls- not soundproof. no safe in the rooms only at the reception the water in the pool sometimes its not warm enough. Wi-fi in the room was poor. The pools need cleaning, there is black algae on the tiles!. Very monotonous breakfast with low nutrition quality, coffee and tea with no taste. At the reception desk at check out, my payment was interrupted in order for another guest to be served‼!. My husband and I very often come to this hotel for the good Spa Center but unfortunately for the last 4 months they have not repeated the elevator for Spa Center so we had to walk around (through the Lobby) in our bath robes to get to the Spa Center, which is very embarrassing!!!! The quality of the breakfast is declining and there is no choice of tea and warm milk. The worm milk is served from the Nescafé coffee machine which tastes terrible. Food. Breakfast : wide variety of food but quality is not very high. Coffee and tea on self service basis, no choice of tea except black tea boiling in a big samovar. Tea served at the hotel bar is, on the contrary, of a very high quality !!! No safe in the room. Breakfast quality is fair except very cheap tea and juice. The breakfast service is at most two star level. Extra cost for child of 13 in deluxe suite. In the last two days the sauna area was closed in the morning.
