Very beautiful hotel with excellent spa facilities! Hotel staff were very polite and helpful. I really emjoyed Japanese massage as well as body therapy. The room was very clean and big enough. When I read comments of others in the website, I found that a couple of people complained about the distance of the beach from the hotel. However, I did not feel so. For me it was 10 - 15 minutes walking.

The outdoor swimming pool offers a real pleasure even for a real swimmer; breakfast was in abundance.The reception staff in particular were exceptionally friendly and very helpful. In that area it is difficult to find a place which is quiet but near to the sea as well. The stuff is hospitable and the scene from there is spectacular. It's quite good when you are going to the centre or to the beach, but if you're going back it's quite difficult because of that hotel is located on the hill. In 9-18 there's shuttle bus, which is going to the beach and the centre every full hour. Breakfeast was actually good. Nice SPA and pool. The facilities and the cleanliness. The hotel is rather far away from the resort, but if you want to eat 24 hours a day very cheap and good at a family restaurant, take a left when exit the hotel and keep going like 1 km or less, climbing a little bit. It's a small restaurant kept by a woman and her mother, great soups and pancakes. it was a little bit far away from the beach and that's why we had to take the car. it was difficult to make the payment in euros.The hotel is located on the outskirts of the resort with a very steep hill to climb on your return!. You need to take a shuttle, which works only till 5, quite inconvenient if you want night life.breakfast wasn't that good. they say that there are free transport from the hotel to beach according to a timetable, but this was not 100% true. The food at breakfast and dinner was not enough if you decided to eat inthe second half of the program.its quite far, hotels which are so far from the beach should think about their shared shuttle transport. now every hotel has their own shuttle and sometimes they go empty. The AC was down and they need something to fix it from France. The weekend staff weren't as good as the staff during the week. The outside pool wasn't heated so slightly too cold for the September weather. Hotel dinner was very poor and they, like most people, found it difficult to recommend somewhere good to eat in Golden Sands. The hotel parking is not very spacious.Location, little bit far from the sea and the center. Thebreakfast was poor. The restaurant (both the food and the service) was really bad. Just asan example, we once waited for 45 min. For a portion of spaghettibolognese. Another example ... we ordered exactly the same dish in 3separate days and each time it was different :) (maybe different chefperspective ?!). Breakfast until 10 o'clock, but if you arrived late you had a small selection of things you could eat. Only one main elevator and there were times where you had to wait some time for it to arrive. They don't accept euros, and the hotel is up to a hill, far from theresort and it is a bit difficult to find it. at dinner time we had to pay for drinks. It is quite remote from the beach/ center of Golden sands resort. Shuttle is offered only in the morning. Regular transportation to/ from center of Golden Sands will be wellcomed, even for a small fee.It is very far from the seaside; at the last level (7-th) they have a tercae-bar which make noise that can be a problem for the rooms from 6-th level. I woul recommand more romanian tv channels because most of the tourists there are from Romania. transportation could be improved. the distance from the beach and centrum. lobby bar was closed after 23.00. I couldn't pay in euro.Shuttle bus should driving not only to 18 o'clock, but in my opinion to 24 o'clock. Housekeepers sometimes left shower gels and etc. sometimes they didn't. It should be left every day. Only one small bottle of shampoo for one person for all the stay of 4 days. Don't buy dinner, the food is rather poor, you can eat better downtown.

Information about the area

Golden Sands (Златни пясъци / Zlatni Pyasatsi) is a spa town on the northern Bulgarian Black Sea coast, adjacent to a national park of the same name.

The resort is located 17 km north from the centre of Varna and is virtually connected to the city by a continuous swath of resorts and villa communities. It is a popular tourist destination, drawing many visitors because of its favourable climate, the scenic landscape and the reasonable prices. Golden Sands is served by the Varna International Airport and several regular bus lines of the Varna public transport system.
