The hostel has a really friendly culture. The staff couldn´t be more helpful and went out of their way to be accommodating and welcoming. They are clearly all people who enjoy their job and meeting folk so none of it appears to be an effort. Special thank you´s to Rick, who was an all round superstar, and to Lewis who took us to some different beaches that we wouldn´t have otherwise found. But all of the staff are brilliant.

The atmosphere is great and superb food is very close by.
I liked my stay there so much even after I had checked out and moved into an apartment in Laranjeiras I went back a week later to see them for a chat and bite to eat and ended up staying the night!.
I loved the building of the hostel. It offers a lots of common space. One can always find people to hang out with, but one can also just to relax in a hammock and chill-out. I met many friendly travelers and enjoyed my stay in the hostel a lot! I recommend it to everybody, who does not mind a little walk up in the hill.
The place had a really good homely feel & happy vibe. The staff were awesome even tho most didn't speak English they were super happy & helpful.
Happy Hour! The hostel was near the beach and good bus routes, the staff were very helpful and i felt safe in the area.

Cheap drinks at the bar.
Very easy going staff, sometimes not very dedicated. The hostel is situated very centrally. It's very close to a favela but thanks to police presence it's quite safe.
The hostel is located up a hill which takes about 5-10 minutes to walk up. I had hoped to say goodbye to it forever but I keep going back to say hello to the lisetonga staff and have food in the favela-the best I've had in Rio!.
The staff is average, except of Thiago, who is very friendly, helpful and always smiling person. The cleanliness could be a little better, as the floor in my room was barely cleaned during the one week I stayed there (Lots of dust on the floor). But this is nothing would would stop me for recommending the hostel. Go for it! You will enjoy, for sure!.
There was quite a bit of noise from the busy road out front plus they played music in the bar really loud until pretty late...
