The staff, and in particular the girl on the front desk was really friendly- she even helped us out teaching us basic portuguese. The breakfast was good, the room was comfortable and it was in a great location with a metro line at the top of the road.
Very close to metro. Staff were helpful in organising tours. Rooms very clean and breakfast was good. Delicious restaurant on the parallel road - serving authentic Brazilian food!. all reviews »
Breakfest pretty good {on brasilian matter}, staff speaking English and very helpfull. Excellent location on metro station, for Rio reasonable price, stayed 5 nights.
Location, price, the staff were helpful enough. Rooms were clean and had fans.
Friendly staff, location, breakfast.
Geographic situation.
Close to the metro station (Gloria), with easy access to all major sights in Rio. Quick and painless metro connection to Copacabana, Ipanema, Centro and elsewhere. Also good bus connections around the city. Despite the warnings of the dangers of Rio, this area seemed safe to us. Nice old but recently renovated building. Peaceful atmosphere.
Good, helpfull and friendly staff, willing to try to make to most out of your stay.
Good location just down santa theresa and lapa.
Good security.
Located close to a subway station, therfore not problem to walk aorund and get home safely at night.
Internet terminals for free use.
Friendly staff, even only one staff can speak in english!
Good location.
Our booking hadn't gone through, even though we had a confirmation email and reference number. It was fine however and the receptionist was very accomodating and let us pick which room we wanted.
Not in the 'hub' of Rio in terms of restaurants and beaches, etc.
nothing.
Not much of an atmosphere of easy mingling between travellers.
No double bed, only 2 beds that you can join together... Which is not confortable.
A bigger lock does not work in the locker inside the room. YOu better bring along a "luggage-style" lock.
we had a room next to the breakfast room, from 7 am is was very noisy.
The room is located inside the house and has only a window to the hallway, which is also the breakfast area. It is only devided by thin glass doors and windows. It gets very busy around the room!
During breakfast time the staff started construction works on the plumbing, inside the breakfast area!!!
It is located close to the subway, but there is nothing else around. It is not located in Santa Theresa, which is a long an steep walk uphill.
Wifi not good especially in 2nd and 3rd floor.
No lift.
Smelly in my room.
