Staff was very kind. They let us in the room although it were 7:00 in the morning (when we arrived from the flight). They even gave us breakfast when we arrived. Hotel had facilities exactly what we needed, and it is near Lapa part of Rio. The location was awesome, all the buses travelling thru the district stops just outside the hotel, and there are many restaurants and clubs nearby!.

The hotel was close to many bars and resturants, was easy to to go places be so close to the subway. It's clean and not really expensive. Budget friendly place. In the center of Lapa. Location. Right in the downtown area Lapa in Centro. There are actually not so many tourist attractions in this part of the city except for some bars with very nice girls. Very low room price. It is allowed to bring a new female guest into the room. The location is great. They were prepared to amend my booking when they realised it was not suitable. The wifi worked. staff tried to make us comfortable with the very little they had. The rooms were clean. Breakfast was ok. I didnt like everythink. Location ok. The first room we got had beds that was like 150cm long, im 194cm tall so we got an free upgrade, so the staff is helpful, eventhough the hotel is a bit of a wreck! :). The air-conditioning was horrible. Didn't have switch or any settings. Rooms where very basic and breakfast poor. It was very loud at night and early morning because of its position on a main road with the bars close bar. My room was next to the street and the noisy was extreme !. There were no English speaking staff. Breakfast is included but it's only two peaces of bread and some coffee. Staff doesn't speak any English. I was only given a single bed despite paying for a double I did not feel I or my belongings were particularly safe - Door onto the balcony did not lock properly, keys for front door had to be handed in at reception. The staff could only speak Portuguese. Many rooms without windows. It should have been free breakfast but I was not offered any at the hotel. If you want a good view from a hotel go for a hotel near the beaches instead. It was like the beds were half size, I'm a short person and my legs hung over the en of the bed. My tall friend's legs would hang off the end of the bed at his knees. No separate power socket in the room. No desk to work from. The room the size of a matchbox. The electrics in the shower looked dodgy. No Portuguese speakers at letsbookhotel.com - and having to tell you half a dozen times that I don't use a credit card. bad bad location,dirty room,dirty bathroom,Bad bed very uncomfortable, no wi-fi in the room nothing good to say about Mundo Novo. Worst experience ever. The noise was horrible, no way to sleep because of the loud staff and the bars around. Staff was not professional and helpful at all. Too expensive for the kind of room, little and not practical at all. No clean resepsion is not speak english very small room and bed. Thiny, ugly rooms (nothing like the pictures), staff didn't speak english (eaven a word) and they were unfriendly. There werent safetyboxes and the staff had been in our room and gone through our stuff, luckily we didn't have anything fort steeling in the room. We couldent eaven solve it whit the staff because their languageberrier. So we do not recomend this hotel to anyone!!. The noise from the pubs around is aggravating and completely impossible to sleep.
