It was always very clean and tidy. Wanderley makes sure that it is always so without giving the impression of cleaning permanently. We liked highly his character, very relaxed but always available and helpful.
Location is also a big advantage if your schedule is varied and eventful. Breakfast could be more varied but is ok considering the price plus we had the impression that he's making the jelly'S himself! We liked there so much that we stayed at his house again in our way back home. all reviews »
The owner is fantastic and exceptionally helpful. The location might seem remote at first, but it's very straightforward to reach all the important places in Rio from there. The breakfast is superb, so are the views. Walking distance from Lapa.
It is very cosy plus comfy once you walk in the house. Mr Wanderley is friendly and he decorated the house by himself with good taste.

Mr. Wanderley is a good host. He also made an effort to decorate the rooms. The place is more something you would find on airbnb so you must be aware that this is a house of a person and that you are staying with this person as a guest. So no hotel/hostel.
Getting there for the first time is a bit of a challenge. The zone itself is only ok.
It would be a lot better if there is a good water supply for the shower.
