  I'd like to thank all the Villa Leonor' staff which had been extremely nice and friedly to me during the week I spent there. During my stay I visited the city a - The location is great. Every thursday and friday night, in the small square near the hostel, there is a spontaneous gathering of neighbors. It's a fantastic opportunity to meet the locals, drinking beer and speek portuguese. We had a very good time there. The staff is very friendly and you feel safe all the time.

  The Sant Matre is a pretty newish and modern building with stunning view over Lapa and RJ Central. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They even thought of my clothes, which I had hung up to dry, before rain arrived :))) ++++ The area around is actually pretty cool and save. Even by night. Close to a handful of lovely bars and restaurants in Santa Teresa funky residential area. Pretty pool and al fresco breakfast area. Bus stop 3 mins away with easy access to Lapa and Copacabana.   Everything in the hotel was superb. Of course it is a bit expensive, but you are really treated like you "own the place". The staff is just perfect. The hotel is basically a beautiful old house, with a brazilian decoration of its finest taste, and a breathtaking view of the city. Rooms are clean and classy. Just remarkable. We highly recommend it ... what people say » for couples without children - and don't forget to bring your own champagne to drink next to the pool around the garden. Staff will chill it up for yo - Incredible place. Couldn't believe how much luxury/value/etc. We were getting for the money. Felt like a real steal. Would definitely stay there again if I was ever back in Buzios. Location, staff, everything couldn't be better.
