The host was very helpful and accommodating, especially when we requested to have breakfast a little earlier to accommodate our train schedule. She supplied recommendations for local eating that were excellent. Her hotel is very conveniently located, nice and clean. It is spot on in the historic center of Bruges. The room is spacious enough for a comfortable stay which isn't always the case on such a location. Decoration and atmosphere exceed the expectations for this price level. Staff was very friendly and helpfull.

I was encouraged to stay here because the only thing people had to complain about was the steep stairs. We did not find them so bad - just walk carefully :-). The decor was a bit shabby. I would rather have not had the breakfast and paid less as there wasn't much selection. The stairs to the family room are very steep!. Thin walls. No lounge area. Hot water ran out a couple of mornings. no tea or coffe facilities.
