I liked that it was closed to the train station, and also within a short walk to the city center. Altough we went in november we could rent a bikecycle just down near to the hotel. Comparing to other hotel prices it was also cheaper wich was very help because Bruges very expensive city. In the room there was no hairdryer but for 10 euro deposit the receptionist give us, just we needed to return it back the end of our stay. I found it no problem. I especially liked the dushe lighs in the shover.
all reviews » Its excellent value for money! Its right next to the train station but good sound proof hence no train noise in room at all! Its well signposted so we have no problem to find it. I found the room size is adequate, clean comfortable bed. Its a 15 min walk to the town centre but its a pleasant walk, through the park etc. My boyfriend and I enjoyed the stay and especially its so much cheaper compare to the other hotels in town centre. Its open sink but with doors for bathroom and toilet so its alr. Everything was great and it was very economic. Towels, bed sheets and blankets included. Confortable, cheap, people very nice at the reception, 20mins walking from the centre of Brugge. Next to the train station, but if you park your car on the Public parking (3.50€) you can change your bus ticket to the Centrum totally free for all the ocupants of the car. Very confortable bed, toilet in a separate space, the sink is plane style and the shower head had colours depending on the temperature :). Not far from the city center. If you travel by car you can park in the P+R parking lot under the hotel but independent from it. It costs € 3.50 per day and gives you the possibility of taking the bus (before 8 p.m.) to and from the city center. Please not the the trip is valid just on the day of issue of the parking ticket (so if you arrive at 8 p.m. you can't take advantage of the offer and also if you stay for many days you can use it only the first day and before 8 p.m.). We were travelling with our large dog, and it was really nice to find a cost effective hotel which routinely welcomes dogs for a small fee of 5 euro per night. The room was small, but clean, modern and well thought out to make the most of the space available. Our room overlooked Brugge railway station, but did not hear any noise from the trains. A large, cheap (2.50 euro/day) car park is on the hotel's doorstep and only a short walk (15 mins) into the centre of Brugge. Rooms were to a high specification despite being a budget hotel. The light switches under the bed made it easy to choose which option. Close parking for just €3.50 a day. Overall a fantastic hotel considering the price. The 1 star rating shouldn't put you off, it's probably due to the lack of facilities the hotel offers as oppose to the cleanliness. If you plan to eat out and just use the Hotel as a base whilst in Bruges , this is the perfect hotel. Excellent value for money. Clean as a whistle and very friendly staff. Everything you need in the room. Even though our room overlooked the train station, the window shuts out the noise and at night we slept with the window open as not many trains running in the night. The hotel was a very safe 15 minute walk to city centrum. If you wanted you could take a bus that is right in front of hotel. While traveling in Europe we always stop at the tourist information and you can get a great map of the city (free) and usually a recomended walking tour you can also purchase city cards from them and they are very helpful usually free public transportation and free entrances into many city attractions. The location was excellent, right next to the train station and 10-15 min walk from centre. If you're walking back from the centre down Oostmeers there's a superb bar (I forget the name) on the right of the street as you head towards the hotel about 5 mins away. The staff were friendly and helpful and buying a map of the city for 50c from reception if you forget yours is a must. The location of the hotel is perfect. You just come out of the central station and the hotel is there. The walking distance to the city center is15-20 minutes. The room is designed in a very modern way. The TV had channels in several different languages. We did not use the breakfast of the hotel, too expensive for 7 Euro, just used the supermarket which was next to the hotel. A good budget hotel near the railway station. But very unique design - a bathroom inside the room, shower with multicolored lights, a toilet is not locked and separated from the rest of the room by a thin partition. Everything we expected (TV, internet, shower etc.) worked well in the hotel (haven't tried the breakfast). If you come by train, it's not far to keep your luggage in the room and the city center is easily accessible on foot. We got a map at check-in. To get there on foot turn right out of station, by the Carrefour shop, cross the service road, then up steps between the car parks and then up further steps or lift to hotel. The hotel was reasonably priced with good sized rooms, enough to put luggage down and still have room to walk. A keycode as opposed to a key is used so no need to checkout, saves time. TV had BBC1 & 2, and ITV, great for english speakers. We liked the fresh, clean (and funky!) style of the rooms and the hotel overall. The Parking is cheap at 3.50 Euros for 24 hours (station car park next to the hotel with connecting lifts and ramps). The Old Town/Grote Market, etc is an easy walk or it's really fast and easy to use the bus (ask hotel reception). So convenient for arriving and departing on the train. The walk into town isn't far and can be quite picturesque. There was no key you used a code for the room instead. It was quite good not having to worry about a key while you're out, but also not having to wait for someone to get it for you when you return. Were concerned when we realised we had booked Ibis Budget being new name for old Etap but this really was nearer to standard Ibis. Good, clean accommodation and a good location with cheap parking. Situated right next to the train station with connecting buses into the centre of the city and parking at EUR 3.50 a day. The room was clean, bright, not necessarily spacious but well planned-out. Physical set-up of the room s neat and Eco-friendly; place is near to grocery and train station is just few steps away which makes it convenient. Main tourist site is only 15 mins away walk. I have called them and informed about my problem but 5days after they purchased me the money they owed me. The free bus ticket only works the day of the entry to the parking (we arrived at night so we couldn't exchange it the day after as per the date). The toilet and shower facilities don't provide much privacy and are only really suitable if you know the person you're sharing your hotel room with very well. There were only two of us staying in our room, which could sleep three (in a bunk bed over the double bed), but it would have been a squeeze in the small room if we'd had a child with us. Shower leaked onto the room floor , leaving puddles. They need more sign posting to show where the hotel is. It's at the top of a complex which inolves going up stairs or escaltors and lifts outside. We wouldn't have found it without the help of a very friendly local. A French couple had spent two hours looking for the hotel before asking us if we knew where it was! Also, being picky, there's a gap in the bottom of the shower door so water goes on the floor - so need to sacrifice one of the hand towels to use as a mat. difficult to find. It's behind the car park. So if you need to park there anyway, just drive in. We couldn't find signs outside until we noticed a car on the roof of the parking with directions to drive in for Ibis. It's a bit neat inside the room. If you come with friends or family, note that the shower is in the room with some kind of milky glass. not much storage space. had to keep the suitcase under the bed. We were not bothered by the noise from the trains, but other guests could be a bit noisy. It was hard to find, poor signposting so we had to ask at the information centre just 2 minutes walk away because we couldn't find it. The lack of tea/coffee making facilities. The room is really too small for staying two nights we had nowhere to put our things really. The fact that the sink is in the room is not ideal, but the shower was lovely. The signing to find the hotel was not adequate as it is complicated to find near the station. It's confusing to find!! They need clear signposts from the ring road and instructions on the web sites - it wasn't just us who were confused - not good at the end of a stressful journey. There isn't a bathroom as such just a shower cubicle in the room with you. It didn't really bother us, it just seems strange. No comments. Kettle would have been nice for a cuppa, otherwise no negatives, it was all good. Lacking character as it is a chain but that didn't bother me. I found the bed too firm for my liking. Internet was slow. Cubicle style toilet and shower, very little privacy in either! Ok for a couple, but would have been embarrassing if sharing with others. A little hard to find at trainstation (ask where the Saturn store and Subway subs are/ its near-next to these). Only the location was a bit disappointing - we thought we would be in the center and due to bad navigation it took us half an hour to reach the actual center (it should only take 10-15 min so its still not too bad). Look at the map prior to going there, so you don't have to search for the hotel - you can't see it from the street, as it's between 2 big buildings. Taking the bad weather into consideration, was taking us quite a long time to get to the city center on foot with the kid. Charged me 1,5 euros for printing out 3 pages. It's not the pretty story book hotels in the middle of town, but it was a better price and very nice hotel. If you want to stay in romantic Brugge, don't choose this one because it's a 15 minute walk each day to get into town (which was not bad at all). However when you have to wake up and catch train - it's perfect!. The wifi was a bit hit and miss with connectivity, but this was a minor issue. Signage is poor making it hard to find. Main sign is seen from train as entering if you miss that as we did you do not see any thing until you are looking up above elevator. Nothing is seen from street level. See-through shower in room, may not be ideal for those travelling with children. We missed only the fridge. I wasn't a huge fan of the fact that the shower & bathroom sink were in the room, with no wall separating them from the bedroom (the toilet was behind closed doors, however). Strange, but it was first time when I had to pay for city map. Usually, hotels provide them for free - sort of commercial courtesy. No problems. I didn't like the problems with booking through letsbookhotel.com and the subsequent night stay of the trip that was caused by letsbookhotel.com. room a bit small. would like to have some cupboard space. nothing. The size oh the room. Nothing. There were no complimentary drinks like coffee or tea, or vanity kits in the room. Maybe a small bar would be nice, I would have loved to sit and have a cold beer when I arrived!. Our family room was small and there was nowhere private to undress with the shower being at the side of the beds so discretion is called for!. Unfriendly staff on the reception. All was fine.
