Excellent location, close to city center and only a few miniutes walk from St. Stephen Church, Vienna Operhaus, Mozart House, Hofburg, metro station (Stephansplatz) and all others. Very very helpful, kind and friendly staffs, comfortable and clean rooms with excellent view. Beakfast was very good:) Internet wifi connection was very good, also in the second floor you can find computer for accessing internet. all reviews » The Pension is in the middle of everything-easy access to the sights and travel connections. The staff were very helpful and always on hand to answer enquiries. The breakfast buffet was really good-a great way to start the day, with plenty of choice. Here is an amazing food market at street level, providing a huge range of quality produce and take away food if desired. We had no idea what the Pension was going to be like but would certainly recommend it to anyone travelling to Vienna who does n. This could not be in a more perfect location. Everything you want to see is a few steps away and for those that are in outer districts, there are two U-Bahn stations just a few minutes walk away. You can also catch any Strassebahn just outside of the Opera which is right around the corner. I would not call the accomidations luxurious but everything was very nice, very clean, and the staff was very helpful. A great great great value! Will be returning and reccomending to those who want to be c. İn heart of Vienna, close to city center, Stephansdom, Stephansplatz. Very good location for shopping, city tours and much more. She suggested a great excursion which you should not miss if you have 2,5 hours in the morning! Drive with a tour guide through the city to one of the many stables of the Fiaker horses. Then a Fiaker ride back through the Prater and city to Stephansplatz for only $20/person. We found the hotel to be very clean and the staff very helpful. Of note, they offer a very cheap and great city tour in their own van , it also includes a long horse and carriage ride from the stables to the City 1.5 hours. This was the icing on the cake for us. We thank them for it as we saw parts of the City that we would not normally have seen. The location couldn't be better for exploring Vienna! Rooms were very clean and comfortable for the price you pay. Underground is really 3 min away, but you probably won't need it as everything was so close. Very helpful and friendly staff. A little noisy at night, but that is true for just about all accommodations in the city center. Walls are quite thin so you hear what goes on in the passage. Smoking in the building. In the family rooms it should have been clear that they are NOT 4bedded as advertised, nor a twin and two extra BEDS, but rather two beds and two expanding chairs, rather uncomfortable. Common rooms there are not, but are not expected from a Pension either. The beautiful old pension/hotel has been re-purposed in a rather unaesthetic manner with ugly elevator, false walls and very dated furniture. (Our room was overcrowded with overstuffed furniture, in fact.) Only the breakfast room retains the lovely period look. But a real renovation would put it out of our pocketbook range, so there's that to consider. Tiny TV, but really no complaints. The mattress was too thin, and they are combined with twin bed, not comfortable if young couple want to sleep closely together. No shower curtain in the shower, you have to sit in the bath tub in order not to spill water on the floor. the beds in our twin room were quite small - not a problem for me particularly but it may be for larger people. The room is a little bit too small. It would also help if the hotel could have a minibar or a teapot for boiling hot water. No air conditioning. It is an old building so hard to retrofit, so I would suggest it would not be great in the middle of summer because if you open the window to get cooler air at night, it is noisy outside. The entry is on a side street. One has to enter through a dimly lighted, cigarette smelly hallway to reach the elevator and up 3 levels to reach reception. We did get past this being a problem. Waterworks a little noisy, but perhaps we should have woken up a little earlier!. There was nothing I didn't like about the hotel. But Vienna really shuts down (except for restaurants and some cafes) at about 8PM each night.....really surprised by that!. Nothing worth complaining about. The poor view from the window of the room, it was not like I saw in the ads. only a small detail - would of been a nice extra to have hot drink facility in room. The room was very clean except for the spots of mould on the walls in the bathroom, but as the ceiling is high and the spots were high above the tile they did not cause any discomfort in fact, probably even added to the sensation of living in an old Vienna house. The walls are quite thin, but it wasn't a problem, my neighbours did not make much noise apart from a lengthy phonecall (of which I could understand a lot, but then the lady was also speaking very loudly). The carpets in the corridors / on the stairs could do with some cleaning, but the room itself was very clean and well kept (also the bathroom). Bathroom very small, overweight guests could have a problem. English skills by staff limited. They accept school trips, arriving in the middle of the night, and obviously teenagers are out of control. Noise isolation. none. The room is too small.bath area is very small. No have hot pot in the room. I had to use a computer in the hall, a kind of "mouse" device was not really convenient to use. small bathroom, tiny shower stall. The room is quite small for 3 persons. Nothing. Everything was perfect. Room very small, only street parking available. -cleaniness in the bathroom. The wifi service is not great. You have to keep logging in even after a few minutes on line. The room first offered to us was unusable for living. The gap between the wall and my bed was only about 20 cm which made it difficult to approach the bed. Besides, there was an everlasting noise coming from behind the wall which turned the night into a sleepless one. However, after we complained to the hotel administration we were immediately offered another room which turned to be quite comfortable. 1. The rooms are small, but very cozy. 2. I think the ром price is too high.
