First of all I should mention that this hotel is one of the best hotels I staid till the moment and I am always trying to choose 4* hotels. I can say more, it is easily in top 5 of my rating. For you not to think that it is advertisement you can check my profile and see my other reviews. I should start that hotel is wonderfully located on very nice and quite street close to Naschmarkt and Karsplatz metro station (2 min walk). You can reach Opera in 5-6 minutes. There is a parking house nearby b.
all reviews » Everything was excellent. If you want to have both museums and good shopping nearby hotel Beethoven is proper choice. The Museum of Art History is of the world importance, Hofburg, Stephandom and Museum Quarter- 10 min., Karskirhe (concerts, in august the theaters on holidays), Secession, Akademy of fine Arts Gallery - 3 min. Theater an der Wiene and Opera are quite near. The Hotel offers excellent breakfasts, koffee and tea in the room (our was 503) - free, concerts on Sundays with shampaigne . The purpose of the trip was to see operas. Location is excellent, in a quiet street around the corner from Theater an der Wien and the Naschmarkt, 1 block from the Wiener Secession, 10-15 minute walk to the Staatsoper. Close to Cafe Sperl. Mid-winter special rate on letsbookhotel.com gave a great price/quality ratio. Breakfast buffet had amazing quality and choices (fresh fruit salad, delicious muesli, scrambled and soft-boiled eggs, smoked salmon, good coffee and breads, yogurt). Coffee facili. This was our first trip to Vienna. I had booked the Hotel Beethoven due to it's location, Viennese flavor, and the fact it was air conditioned. As it turned out Vienna was experiencing a heat wave and the air conditioning was a factor in our enjoyment of the hotel. We upgraded our room from standard to a deluxe room and were very comfortable. We found the staff to be friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful as we planned our activities during our stay. Unfortunately, I became ill during our sta. The location is ideal as it is close the Secession, the Museumsquartier, Karlskirche, the Opera, Café Sacher, etc as well as to public transport (Karlsplatz Underground station and Ring trams), yet it is very quiet. The staff are friendly and helpful, obtaining concert tickets for us at short notice. The breakfast selection is excellent. The musicians who performed in the salon on Sunday afternoon were world class. Should we return to Wien, we would definitely stay here again. Warm hospitality. Great breakfast with outdoor space in good weather. Free excellent Sunday night concert in lounge (truly world class piano and violin); Often there are Sunday evening concerts there. Vienna is great city. the Hotel is in a good location. is quite tidy, the rooms lack space and do not have a good look. the lobby is nice, but the rooms missing elegance considering that the hotel has four stars. the staff is nice and always willing to help. in the vicinity of the hotel there are plenty of restaurants at reasonable prices. There was a violin & piano concert just started in the common space when I was checking in. Over-the-top décor (red velvet headboard with a mirror in the middle, gilded bathroom tiles, pink towels with Beethoven's head.) Right by the museums and the Karlsplatz subway stop. Very close to the sights and the nearest metro Karlsplatz takes you to Schonbrunn. Taxi stand 20m away. The overall atmosphere was extremely pleasant, the reception staff made you feel welcome on arrival and offered every assistance whenever requested. The breakfast staff were very helpful, the breakfast provided was of a high quality. A concert was provided on the weekend by two extremely high level gentlemen, playing the piano and cello. Our room had an incredible round bath big enough for two and very deep. Rare in a hotel room, the toilet was separate to the bathroom which was a welcome touch. Hotel Beethoven is an excellent place to stay in Vienna _ the location is perfect, next to all major tourist sights and shopping street, the staff is helpful and nice, and breakfast is of a high quality. What can you say about a hotel that unexpectedly provides a concert of such quality in a small and intimate setting.(wow) The breakfast was also lovely. The hotel is very close to the underground. Warm and most welcoming. Lovely breakfast, clean,quiet, excellent situation in regard to central Vienna and cultural facilities. Sunday concert was a delightful surprise. I loved the hotel, but some downsides (that didn't really bother me) could be that the 1 elevator is small and not very rapid (I usually descended the nice staircase), duvets are not down (but the room was well- heated), bed was firmer than mine but still comfy. And it's not exactly "hip" or super luxurious - sometimes I look for that, not this time, the stay was fantastic. This is not really a complaint, but my only negative was the small elevator. Nothing. small rooms and do not have a good view. slow internet!!!. The mattress was a little soft which might bother some people, some of the carpets were a little "tired", but that only adds to the appropriateness of a fantastic old building. But personally, there wasn't anything *I* didn't like. The shower head is the middle of the bath so water sprayed onto the floor. But not a big problem. A handrail in the bathtube would turn the shower safer. The floor of the tub is a little bit slippery. The only thing I could think of was that the carpet needs to be replaced. It's ready to be updated...but that's it!. Nothing. The low hanging chandelier was beautiful to look at but did bump our heads a few times. Not a big deal though and didn't detract from the overall standard of the accommodation. Nothing!. Very little. We dislike liquid soap and it was the only thing available for the shower and sink. A small gripe - otherwise we really loved the Beethoven. I have no significant dislikes. Nothing bad to say. Nothing at all. We did not find anything to dislike. Absolutely nothing!. The lift was very slow and antiquated. There were food smells at times in the corridoors. The furniture was a bit old. Having to leave!. The bathroom had a shower in the bathtub. The shower enclosure on the tub was half open yet a little too confining. Would have liked English TV channels except CCN and BBC. A single elevator for 6 floors is sometime too slow. Breakfast varied and rich but tasteless. the basic-"standard" double room..is real small..for that class of hotel and price range, and we probably got the smallest on the floor ( by floor drawing plan posted on door..) which show quiet a lot of variations in size and plan of rooms ..and the additional 20 Euros per day for near-by garage parking ( no parking at hotel) add significantly to total price. Can't think of anything!!. The pillow. Pricey. nothing. The very slow computer in reception.
