Family-run since 1912, the non-smoking, adults-only Bergland Hotel offers a quiet location in the centre of Salzburg, only a 10-minute walk from Mirabell Palace, the Congress Centre, and the main train station, and a 15-minute walk from the Old Town. Free WiFi is available. The Bergland’s rooms are individually furnished and feature spacious bathrooms. They are decorated with paintings from the art-loving owner’s private collection, but also with some of his own works. Breakfast is served in the historic breakfast room and consists of regional, organic, and fair trade products. Warm and cold drinks are served in the cosy music room until 21:30. An internet terminal can also be used by guests.

I really appreciated the fact that we were upgraded to a triple room, the internet was free and the breakfast was wonderful. Staff was very friendly and very helpful-they even had a map of the area with nearby restaurants. The hotel was a short walk from the pedestrian zone north of the Salz River. The room and bathroom was very clean and a lot larger than most rooms in the hotels we've stayed at in Europe so far. Overall excellent hotel and when my wife and I go back to Salzburg we will certainly stay here again!.
