  I stayed at this hotel many years ago and, for the most part, my recent stay was just as I'd remembered. The rooms aren't huge, but they're comfortable. The staff is pleasant and helpful.   Location: for seeing Saltzburg and the surrounding area it is near perfect, granting easy access (via public transport) to the city whilst allowing private motoring with ease. Comfort: we opted for a room with balcony and, despite the road noise, were pleased we did as this gave us that little more space and the chance to sit outside. Hotel staff is very attentive and ready to help and give some advice about places to visit, getting there, most interesting tours, etc. The hotel is located within walking distance from Hellbrun palace and the Zoo (of course, you can go there by bus as well).
