  Almost everything about this hotel was fantastic. The small and very picturesque town of Durnstein can get crowded with tourists during the day but the hotel is set apart and is very peaceful. Our lovely bedroom overlooked the beautiful garden and swimming pool. Breakfasts were very good with an excellent choice of food. The staff were very nice and we must make a special mention of our very friendly and enthusiastic cham - We had an enjoyable stay at this charming hotel amidst a quite and peaceful town. It is a very good location for touring and enjoying the Danube.

  Hotel Schloss Durnstein was a wonderful treat! We had 15 year old daughter with us and she felt like a princess. The hotel restaurant was excellent.   We loved our stay! Most impressive was the remarkably warm, friendly, and efficient service by all staff members. The food was fabulous and the Pfeffel wine exemplary. Our comfortable beds looked out onto cherry trees and mountains. We used their superb bikes for our day trip to Melk.
