Newly renovated in December 2016, the Alpenhaus Gasteinertal is located in the center of Bad Hofgastein, close to the Kurpark, pedestrian area and ski lifts. Free WiFi is available. The high level of service and the hotel location. Very friendly staff. Excellent SPA. The cuisine and service in the Hotel restaurant were excellent. The Hotel's thermal swimming pool and spa were excellent and a very convenient amenity. Smoking was permitted in the Hotel lounge. The accumulation of tobacco smoke over time and the absence of really effective ventilation in the area, at times made the Lounge area unusable by non-smokers. This deterred us from enjoying afternoon tea and after-dinner coffee in the Lounge.
