Arrived Saturday afternoon so as to attend an even Saturday night. The hotel is in a great location, the apartment is spacious and has everything you might need, it is not super luxurious but is perfect for a city trip. We had afternoon drinks and nibbles in our loungeroom/kitcheb, took a refreshing swim in the pool which was great before getting ready to go out. When we got back, the room was quiet and comfortable and I had a great sleep in. All in all it was a great little unit, felt like.
all reviews » The reception staff were marvellous, and extremely helpful. My visit to Syd was to attend hospital appointments and it was a great relief to me each day to know when treatments ended I was going back to my lovely comfy room where I could just relax. I will definitely stay there the next time I have to return to Sydney. Reception Staff very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was good and attentive. Location excellent for city & darling Harbour and access to all sightseeing venues. Premier apartments a good size in living area & bathroom. Good street view. Our room in reasonable condition. John , on the front desk.there was mix up with our accomidation when we arrived and the room I booked and had confirmation on in my phone , simple without question gave us a three bedroom penthouse room.we where very excited as we had never stayed in a penthouse apartment before. For us the main reason we chose the hotel was because we wqante accommodation close to the Town Hall ( for a school combined choirs including our granddaughter) the room and facilities were much better than we expected for the very reasonable tariff and location. Everything was fine, and the price was quite low, which made it exceptional value. Like the location which was good for where I work in Sydney. Good that there's a taxi rank close by. Reception staff exceptionally helpful. I like the overall design, especially the kitchen although I didn't cook. It give me a homely feeling. The location is within walking distance to various locations such as Daring Harbour, ChinaTown. All very clean and well maintained. Stayed overnight only but apar,ent would be great for a longer say. Good kitchen facilities for self- catering. Nice lounge area with flat screen tv, etc. The checkin was very professional. The room was just beautiful. Check out very professional. Bit of maintenance required - sink was wobbly, worn bits need a bit of care. Lifts slow and weird in that they go past your floor. The swimming pool can be better maintained. Bed was very hard, and bedside lamp globe was out - but minor complaint only. No dislikes. A few maintenance issues needed attending to and some of the staff couldn't give us basic transport directions. Anyone can get onto any floor without a room card. No problems what so ever1. Nothing. Maintenance work was poor. No attempt to make good any work that was done. I was charged four times for two days of internet. When I asked the receptionist to help, he told ME to call their suppliers (with my Norwegian phone, that would have been more expensive than the internet). no breakfast! poor swiming pool! when we did check-in they keep 100$ deposit from our credit card!. no balcony!. Could be a bit cleaner. Room entrance doors can simply be washed to make better impression. Filter in the dishwasher should be cleaned not to attract cockroaches. Discrepancy between advertised price and price charged. Fridge leaking water onto floor which I cleaned up on two occasions before contacting Reception. Coffee, sugar and milk - only enough for 2 cups (2 adults in room, 1 cup each) Payment processed day before check-in! ???. Was all good - except the pool was a little too cold. We would have liked free wi-fi. The spa was shut down for health reasons and the pool was a bit grubby. Car park was a mess. Not easy to get into or out of and very minimal parking. Definitely not worth $40. Had no complaints. when checking-in / out staff didn't ask questions like, why did we choose to stay there, how did we hear about the hotel, did we enjoy our stay, where we are from, why were we in Sydney. Nothing. Took payment off the credit card we used to secure payment on the website, which is against website standard policy. Would have liked to have paid cash on arrival. Paint on walls needed some attention. Blown Lamp Bulb. Overhead exhaust broken. Clothes Dryer didn't work. Asked for wine glasses but received large tumblers instead.Charged $100.00 in advance of mini bar,but not refunded for five days.upon checking in I was charged against my visa full room amount later front desk discovered that letsbookhotel.com had already charged my american express,although they did refund that amount straight away,however allot of time was wasted. Nothing. Apartment did not have any equipment to cook with. One of the reasons I picked the hotel was because it had the kitchenette so that I could cook my meals. Was not able to use the stove as no sauce pans or frying pans and there were no containers to use the microwave. The walls in the rooms need re painting especially the skirting boards. The bins were ready to be binned !. Nothing!. Tiles were falling off in bathroom and basin was unstable bin in kitchen had no lid. for a high end hotel, thought it needed some maintenance on things in the room, did not ooze luxury in our mind. The only thing I did not like was the car park. Under resourced kitchenette. cannot think of anything.
