The staff were very helpful at check-in. Thereafter nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean and spacious with a balcony overlooking the beach. The food in the restaurant excellent. Parking facilities were under ground and secure. We had a wonderful time. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Our suite on the 7th floor was very comfortable with magnificent views over the beach. I have stayed at many hotels some 5 star& did not get the level if service that the staff here provided they must be commended. Loved the location and the rooms were spacious and well appointed. The signage to the rooms was not good - they need to have directional signs saying which rooms are were. We were wandering around lost for quite a while looking for our room. Nothing to not like. On a flight path and the planes were very noisy especially on the Saturday.Tennis court needs upgrading. I found the air conditioning was too warm especially for sleeping. Shame the power had to be disconnected the afternoon we were dressing for a wedding. Staff tried to ease the pressure with free offer of drinks and cakes. Room service choices not so great but then again the cafes on coogee bay rd made up for it; and we only had room service on the evening we arrived which was quite late. Windows don't open in standard rooms. Air conditioning works well, but on the beach one would want some fresh seaside air. the swimming-pool was out of order for maintenance on a beautiful and hot spring day and this was definitely a very very bad idea. Car parking fees. Would have preferred more of a sea view. I am very annoyed that they took $50.75 from my credit card and I still don't have it back. I work at a motel and I could have done a refund instantly on the eftpos machine. I think that even seeking for a fault would be a search in vain!. Small outside deck. No particular dislikes. When is a Gym not really a Gym? You'll know the answer to this when you this hotels Gym. kingsize bed uncomfortable. too soft and sheets not fitted. That you have to pay for parking within the hotel grounds, this should be complementry for guests. Noise from adjoining room. Charges for parking outrageous, parking in street is all limited time therefore little choice to be hit with $25 per day to park. No fan ventilation in the bathroom. It was noisy from other guests at night/early morning. No signage visable from the main street, took a while for us to find reception. We thought the bathroom was a bit on the tired side and the basin was cracked. We also thought that the car park and internet should be included in the price. Beds not comfortable and room too small. Pool area being renevated. Can't check out late still only 11.00. That I had to pay AUS$25 for parking. The balcony was very small and close to the next room. The prices for laundry!. Expensive for mid week and non school holiday times. Concierge desk often wasn't staffed when I wanted assistance. Food was a bit expensive. All good. Taking money from my Card and not giving it back for a week , and not being given a warning this would happen....... very sneaky !!!!!!. Couldn't find info about check out times in the room. Size of room and layout. The coffee at breakfast was the worst coffee I have ever had!.
