The staff were fantastic. We had to leave luggage as we arrived early. This included a large box not heavy but cumbersome. When we returned at check in time we received a bottle of wine and help with our belongings to the 41st floor with fantastic views. Spacious apartments with all amenities. Not too far from shopping in Bourke St Mall. The staff at the front check in were very helpful and would recommend Jay who was more then just doing her job. She would be an asset to any business. I would come back again just to be served by her happliy. Thanks Jay for your wonderful nature and friendliness.
all reviews » Two bedroom two bathroom suite very good for two mature couples travelling together (many apartments have only one bathroom). Kitchen well-equipped, convenient and money-saving. Beds comfortable. Chosen partly because of gym, but did not actually use it. The apartment was well appointed, quiet , clean and modern. The beds and pillows were comfortable and there did not seem to be any excessive use of bleach in the cleaning or laundry which is sometimes the case in other motels/appartments. It was in easy walking distance to most places of interest. The tram line to St.Kilda was 5 min walk away. 10 min walk to the free tram. Apartment was roomy, clean and private. Loved having a balcony to go out on and see the city lights. Apartments were clean and spacious. Excellent security and facilities. Location was extremely handy to the Casino and Southbank, but a bit of a longer walk to the CBD with the baby in his pram (in the cold weather!). Great location. Near transport and shops and right behind Crown Casino. Apartment was very clean and modern. Staff were friendly and helpful. Apartment was very quiet and had plenty of room for a family of 4. Liked the fact I was upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment. It allowed my daughter to drive in from the Dandenongs and stay after we went to the football. Also found the car parking convenient. We could smell that so for the first day we had to leave balcony doors open. Also the pillows were very full and high. I prefer low and soft so found this very uncomfortable. It would be good to have a mixture of pillow types. Couldnt find a manual to work the dish washer but soon worked it out after a while. Couldnt get the washing machine dryer to work. The tap on the kitchen sink was not attached correct as it was very wobbley. Not how it should be. One guest hoped for warm pool to help with health problem: pool too cold to use. No air circulation in the second bedroom once the door into the living area was closed- seemed to be no air/airconditioner vent in there. Also could have used more instruction on the use of the lift- E.G. didnt know you couldnt get off on other floors to visit friends/colleagues, or that the stair doors only opened in one direction.... From the 14th floor you could hear the traffic below on the busy highways! Pillows were uncomfortable (too high!) and we didn't really appreciate having to pay EXTRA for a cot that wasn't even set up for us!!. Car park was very cramped and when we got to our allocated park, someone was already parked in there. Having said that, staff were helpful and gave us another park straight away. Close to the freeway and a bit noisy. Couldn't find the coffee cups until the last day. The cleaners had put them in the dishwasher that we didnt know was there. The front desk staff could give tourist information on how to get around town. Not everyone has time to read every bit of info. nothing really......oh someone to bring me a skinny latte and the paper in the morning? and a foot massage after work???. Would have like it cleaned half way through 6 day stay. We paid premium price should not really have to pay for cleaning. The room has a bad smell that I think was because of the new decoration. Air conditioning didn't really reach the two bedrooms. Our apartment faced South and we only had 40 degrees one day. The apartments with city view face North. In full Summer, I would choose the South-facing apartments. none. Dishwasher and oven were hard to use. A mistake had been made about my booking dates and it took too long to have it corrected and to find me an alternative room. Lifts- not enough of them for the complex esp when out of service. Pool was a bit cold. Not enough restaurants and Cafes immediately around, particularly if weather was bad.....which is likely since it is Melbourne. None. When booking I thought it was actually at Southbank, but it is about 2 blocks away. That was a little further away then I thought. Some cutlery missing. the beds were not changed in the week we where there. No double glazing on the windows, so it was quite noisy - all night!. Needed more hooks to hang things. The concierge was not very helpful with directions and was quite unfriendly to visiting quests eg : hairdresser and food delivery people , both made comment. Being charged for two phone calls to reception after dialling 9 was picked up by someone not in reception. no reception rate of internal calls. You need a recycling bin for bottles on each floor. Imperative. The iron was excellent and the ironing board was total crap....no foam, just a thin cover on metal backing. Impossible for the best ironer to iron on. What did you pay for them $13.99? Get a proper ironing board. standard of tv. speakers poor. controls and use of cd players not easy to operate. The apartment was very restricted about check in and check out time. No room services for example refill the toliet paper and shampoo ect,,,. carpark was on the 9th floor - long drive up and down. you need a short description on how to use the dishwasher and washing machine with dryer cycle..was not easy to figure out without pulling out instructions. Didn't seem as large as other short stay apartments I have stayed at.
