The staff were awesome. From the pick up & return to the airport by the hotel shuttle bus was a fantastic service. This alone would make me stay here again. Their night shift driver "JP" even dropped me to the nearest Tram so i could use a more cost effective way into the city. Yeah it takes longer but for $3.50 return by tram to the city is a bargain, plus "JP" picked me up in the shuttle bus upon my return to take me back to the motel. This is a fantastic service. all reviews » myself and my new husband booked the wrong date we flew back into Australia,and at 11:30pm we were able to not only change it to that night-but a free shuttle came to get us!! the room was huge and so clean and bearly 5 mins from the airport. breaky was amazing and we even had a gym to go sweat some over eating from our hoiladay! the staff even helped us with a luggage scale so we could weigh our bags for our flight the next morning. i cannot say enough how amazing i found this hotel, and would. The location was really close to the airport which helped as we arrived late and was important to get in to put our 4 year old to bed after a 13 hour flight. The check in was quick and staff really welcoming and friendly. The rooms are really spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast was great as you had various options for the hungry to the not so hungry which was reflected in the price. Considering how close we were to the airport we did not hear anything so rooms very quite. Would defenit. The proximity to the airport was the main reason for choosing to stay here. I am a country lad from the mniddle mof the North Island, not used to big city traffic, and did not want to try and navigate my way around the city after a day of travel from NZ. The hotel was easy to find and was easy to find our way north to Mansfield, where we had a family wedding. We stayed two nights and enjoyed the restaurants for both evening and breakfast meals. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. - Proximity to the airport with free shuttle service. We drove to the airport to return our car and called the hotel to pick us back to hotel. The pick up point is only 1min walk away from the car return - There's a shopping center less than 10mins' drive. The woolworth supermark there is open till very late. We had a car so it's quite convenient. Alternativey you can also ask the hotel's shuttle bus to send you there. We stayed after travelling from NZ and before heading up to Mansfield for a family wedding. The proximity to the airport was the main reason we chose the Hotel as we did not want to have to travel into the city. It was easy to find, to navigiate out of Melbourne toward Mansfield. The rooms were very comfortable with plenty of room, the food was excellent in both restaurants. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Whilst Ciloms fits very much into the motel category, the room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and the staff were very friendly. I arrived in the middle of the night and although the shuttle- bus driver had left for the evening the receptionist came to collect me - I will be grateful for that possibly forever having just got off a 30hour flight! I would stay again. I loved the service and airport collection was great. We got a lift back to the airport via the shuttle bus and were able to take the skybus into Melbourne and then look around and then back again to the airport and back to Ciloms with the shuttle bus. The staff were always on hand and very helpful and friendly. I received my wakeup call on time and the food was good. The staff are very friendly and obliging. We travel down from the country to fly North and appreciate the fact that we can leave the car while we are away for a very reasonable charge. We enjoy staying overnight before and /or after our flights and appreciate be driven to and from the airport for our flight. Would definitely recommend to friends. - The staff is very friendly and helpful, they even offered free shuttle to take us to Melbourne Airport Golf Club nearby (the golf course is very nice) - 1 hour complimentary wi-fi is good - Buffet dinner is very delicious - The location is good if you will take early flight on the next day. Good spot for overnight stops in Melbourne Airport. Pick-up service from Tullamarine was great, called at 11pm and the van was there 5 minutes later to pick me up. Drop offs were every 30 minutes even early in the morning, its was simple to get there and back with my tight schedule. Close to Melbourne airport...would have left car there for 1 week while away if I had known...able to stay in room longer after arriving late on plane..nice bar meal...heated pool good but did not use...stayed 3 nights before trip and 1 night after......would recommend to others. The free shuttle service to and from the airport was great - less than 10 mins, and available on request. They stored our luggage for the day at no cost. The indoor heated swimming pool was a hit with the children. The evening buffet was great value and very tasty. We have stayed at Ciloms 4 times when we have a flight out of Tullamarine. It is so convenient as they have great meals at the hotel, and the courtesy bus to and from the airport is excellent. It has car storage available or can leave at others very close by. Location in everything with this hotel, staff are good and the free airport transfer and overnight parking is appreciated. The place is s bit tired but who cares when you can stay so closed to the airport for that price. They can even do long term parking. We stayed here to be close to the airport, and it was a great stay. The room was simple, but the onsite pool and the cheap buffet style restaurant were great. After dropping our rental car at the airport the day before we departed , being picked up by the Ciloms shuttle from Tullumarine airport . Surprised how quite our room was , did not hear a plane noise we were just up the road from Tullamarine airport . I have now used this motel several times and will continue to do so. I live 3 + hours from the airport and find the facilities convenient and very useful. Staff are always pleasant and very helpful. Also being able to have late meals is a great help. Room was excellent for our needs, it is close to the airport and we were able to leave our car at the motel and use the free shuttlebus to and from the airport. The wake up call was on time and wqe were transferred back to the airport free of charge. For a quick transit it was very efficient and effortless. On return from recent 2 month holiday,Ciloms was so convenient to airport for n overnight stay and to have the shuttle to and from the irport, even at night was wonderful . The room was fine, and the food at the restaurant was good value for money. It was reasonably priced and very close to the airport and the bus service to the airport was wonderful and took the stress out of catching our flight on time. They have free shuttle services every 30mins-1hr to and from the airport. It is also quite close to the dfo (Direct Factory Outlet) - approx. Aus$20 cab ride one way. Shuttle from airport is great, very handy & had the best driver I have ever had since going to Ciloms, 11pm, 14/07/13. He has a great personality & very friendly manner. I did not bring any with as I thought we would have had some in the bathroom. Nothing. Cant say a negative thing about it. If you want to go to the city, the transportation is not so convenient. Lack of choice for breakfast - we recognised the fruit platter from the previous night's buffet. The 'skinny milk' tasted very bad. Only cereal, toast and fruit on offer for self-serve. Chairs too low for using the laptop and typing. our room had an airconditioner going outside, and it was a bit noisy. Didn't have any complaints. Nothing to say. not much, the hotel's car park was full, too many long term cars taking valuable/limited parking spaces. people can stay at hotel, and can leave their car behind in hotel's car park while they holiday elsewhere. cheaper than airport's long term car park. having a new car and having too park it on a narrow street with trucks going pass all night wasn't not a great feeling. other than that no complaints. I was unable to connect to the internet from Room 233, was at the very end of the 2nd floor. When I took my laptop to Reception, the older receptionist did not believe me. It took 4 vouchers before I could get online for one hour, and by then I had missed my time-slot in Europe. I would not recommend this place for anybody who has to keep in touch by internet, I should have stayed at Ibis. I find it far from the CBD. And there is not much to go for a stroll outside the hotel. Good you have gym and pool but unfortunately I did not have a chance to see them since they are lock when we went for the walk around the hotel. One of the reception staff was very matter of fact in her directions and couldn't provide us with the correct details to return our car to the airport. She also didn't seem to take much pride in her dress, as she looked a little scruffy. Nothing that I don't like. Unfortunately, no coffee cups, no coffee, tea or sugar. Milk and glasses in the fridge. Decor of hotel is a little dated and tired but very clean and tidy. Nothing I didn't like. Free Wi-Fi was only available in 1 hour lots - although this is now common in lots of motels. Struggling to find something ?????. Needed a few more smiles from reception staff/room service. Nothing. They need to mention that rooms has a microwave...if I'd had a baby that needed milk or food heated, this would be a great benefit. Maybe I should have just asked. Cant find anything worthwhile to complain about. Receptionist was a bit grumpy in the morning - ok we might have been asking some stupid questions but jet lag and a very long flight doesn't help with understanding first time. I wasn't impressed that our room wasn't serviced the second day. Staff at reception did offer to move us, but I only asked for clean towels and some teabags to which they obliged.
