The staff responded immediately to my request that the doors to the adjoining room be locked. I liked the fact that I could park my car securely underneath the Mantra. There was no rush to take my car away after I checked out. I appreciated a little extra time. The restaurant was quiet and the food and service were excellent. I had a marvellous view of the ocean and I loved having the 'studio' room.

Parking is a little bit of a hassle and fairly expensive, but it is Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast so it was expected. Showers over baths get me every time. Everything good and will return. not enough car parking underneath and I got a fine for parking outside because I think offering car parking 2 blocks away is to far to carry luggage. Bathroom ceiling could be repainted. had a bath but there wasnt a plug to use. Beds were old, squeaky and a bit uncomfortable to sleep on. Very thin walls. Input lock on the TV's is extremely inconvenient and unfriendly. iPod dock would be nice. I had to park my car in another car park which was an extra $15. The front counter staff where extremely rude. -Cleanliness of balcony -Balcony view. we had to park two blocks away and there were problems with the ticketing system to gain access to the carpark. The room was small and a bit dated. view was not good. Schoolies week!. No on site parking. the beds were just ok comfort wise. but the hotel was great location and room was great for the price. Not happy with the parking arragements. Would not recommend staying if you have a car. Leaving seemed very unorganised. Rooms had a somewhat musty smell like they had been water damaged. Bathrooms were cramped and door stop near toilet was a safety hazard e'g tripping. Our check in time was 2pm. 2pm came and our room wasn't ready. We waited 20mins in the foyer before we were able to get into our room. We were given a drinks voucher to use at the bar but I still think that if you say the check in time is 2pm, then the room should be ready for us to check in. Had to pay extra for car parking where it should a part of the service. Staff did not inform all of information required. Room smelled moldy On ck in we waited 30 min in line to ck in and had to park 2 blocks away. no tooth brush & tooth paste provided，its kind of very inconvenient. and might provide some bit thick blanket would be nice. Not a well layed out pool area, minimal pool chairs or space to layout by the pool. No pool side service for drinks etc. The room Air con didn't work Had view of a roof. Never really felt appreciated as a customer from the moment we arrived at the hotel. We had with us 2 big and 2 small luggages but sadly no one from the hotel helped us to unload the luggage from the taxi and move them to our room Even though I stayed for 9 days, many things were not replenished on daily basis - coffee, tea, sugar and sometimes even towels. Also need reminders to change bed and pillow covers. Not to forget this hotel charged a hefty parking fee of A$17 on daily basis. I recon the advertisement is misleading. From the pictures it looks like we were gonna get I refurnished and clean room. It was dirty, dusty and the toilets were not in their best. For the amount of money we payed, we were expecting something way better. Also, the common areas carpet were dirty and smelly. I thought the Mantra had similar quality everywhere, I was wrong. The bed was too firm, the pillows were lumpy. Both my husband and I ended up with sore neck & shoulders by the end of our stay. Pictures on Internet nothing like actual. Room service was cold. Room was very worn, dirty stained carpets, walls and bed covers. Tv was old and mini bar never refilled. moldy bathroom untidy and empty barfridge no toothbrush or paste bed with a foam lining around the top edge. tired and outdated decor horrible lumpy pillows. the room i stayed in smelt, it was not available until 2pm which is fine but there was a strong smell / odour in the kitchen which would have been food cooked from the previous guests, also, the plumbing on the room next door needs to be repaired, i stayed in room 709. for an upgraded room - the bed was uncomfortable - the room was old - the shwoere over the bath was uncomfortable.
