Great location. Staff were friendly and helpful. The facilities were also great and I like that the place was surrounded with lots of trees and gardens so that staying there was very relaxing and laid back - very similar to the Darwin vibe. I would recommend this place to other travellers and will definitely come back again. Very attractive pool & tropical garden setting.... low profile buildings (ie 2-3 floors only). Close to city centre & local buses. Friendly & helpful staff willing to be helpful with our later departure. Stored our luggage whilst we were on trip. Good dining facilities in res.taurant or by pool.
all reviews » The staff, specially the reception staff Nico and Lisa. Very friendly and helpful. The pool is beautiful and clean and does not smell of chlorine as in so many hotels. Rooms are clean as well. All in all, we did not had too much time to enjoy everything. Location is perfect as well. Will be there soon again. We were very happy with the service, cleanliness and the room size. The pool was great and so were the meal/drink special offers in the restaurant. It was a great idea to have drinking water available on tap as we were able to fill up our water bottle as needed. booked last minute and got a great price. excellent value for money. central location, comfortable big clean room, fox sports on the flat screen is always a bonus also!! amazing pool facilites is this hotels strongest point for sure. It should show on the internet that budget rooms do not have a window. Maybe in general more detailed description of the rooms online would be good. Bed was a bit to hard for us. everything was great. Would have liked a toaster for brekky. Also the shower alternated hot and cold with fairly low pressure. But, hey, that's being finicky. It was a very comfortable stay, albeit comparatively expensive as is all Darwin accommodation. No aircon in the hall way was so stuffy and bathrooms need to have ventilation, a fan would just do. Overpriced menu, you have families staying there need to be mindful of that. Found the staff very frustrating in the office and poolside bar when it comes to speaking english clearly, when you ask for a particular drink 3 times and still isn't the one you ordered and trying to explain your bill at checkout time, I find this annoying and time consuming. Other than that very good. Not enough parking spot at the time. Wifi is too far expensive. occasional electronic key entry problems and fire alarms. The air-conditioner in the room was noisy and had some bits missing. The room doors bang when people enter and exit the rooms, for both reasons I needed earplugs to sleep. It was so cold in the room. I was very tired, so I know I could have turned down the air conditioner, but I woke up freezing. Not Mirambeena's fault, but I couldn't get warm until I walked outside. Not enough parking space on large parking place. Expensive breakfast (not included). Wifi has to be payed for. You could hear the people in the hallway and in the adjoining room. Lack of view from room, vagrants from street wandering into pool area. was a bit disappointed both pools werent opperating but other than that it was faultless. Not enough outdoor parking n wasnt allowed under cover also the gym room had a bad smell tried to work out felt nauseous only lasted 5 minutes it really needed attention was really disappointed not to be able to do my workout... No wine glasses in room not much tv selection. Pool bar opened late in day and frequently was left unattended. Waiting for my room but it wasn't their fault. The ship arrived in Darwin at 8am so I had a lot of time to fill in. Not applicable. No free wifi - and to buy it just for a couple of hours was very expensive. a few cigarette butts near laundry facilities. Staff did not respond to faults that were reported. lights and a/c remote did not work. Information and warnings were all over the place.Should be compiled in a directory.No free wifi in rooms. Bathroom mediocre and someone had been smoking in it. Air Cons looked a bit old and dirty. Requests for items ignored. Too old rooms. There are no renovation. Faulty air con next door causing sleepless nights and mattresses not comfortable. Vacating room at 10am, It'll be 9am soon. room was nothing special, but for price cant complain. A bit noisy. Bathroom was a bit old but definitely adequate.
