Very good location, beautiful view facing the inlet wharf. Quiet but very close to woolworth, restaurants and gift shops. The room was thougtfully set up with full kitchen equipments as well as basic condiments and utensiles. Free wifi. The room and towels were very clean. The Apartment has prepared anything you might need during your trip. Very convenient for family with kids. Special thanks to David for his suggetions of market and activities. all reviews » We stayed at the Jack & Newell for three nights in a 3 bed apartment in Nov 2013. The apartment was huge, modern décor, well cleaned and maintained. As well as the pool facilities. The property is located just a few streets over from the CBD, the pier, the marina and the casino! David the manager was a great guy and went out of his way to provide advise on tours etc to make our trip successful. Would certainly recommend this property to anyone considering staying in Cairns. Everything about our stay was Excellant. David & Joelette are great hosts. They helped us with planning and booking activities and genuinely seem interested in making our visit to Cairns positive. We stayed in a three bedroom unit that was very nice, clean and well appointed. For a small group I can't imagine a better or less expensive way to stay in Cairns. The hotel is conveniently located - walking distance to supermarket and restaurants at the beach. The rooms are spacious and equipped with all necessary facilities to accomodate a group of people. View from the balcony is also nice. The Manager - David was very helpful, helped us book tours to Kuranda and Reef Magic, with discounts! I like everything here!. Staff were very friendly and helpful in arranging our sight seeing trips, making suggestions for what to do etc. View from the balcony and location of the apartments was excellent. David and Joelette were very helpful. Spacious appartment overlooking the water within best city location. Definitely a place to go when staying in Cairns. We were upgraded to a two bed apartment which was huge ! Loved the space and the view. Very helpful reception at reception. Good gym in complex also. Loved the service. It was second to none. David was always there to recommend sights and trips and help us. It was also spotlessly clean. No complaints! We had a fantastic time in cairns and accommodation was fantastic! But was cool so not an issue so didn't contact reception. Need to leave. Inadequate small comforts such as soap for washing machine, soap for dishwasher, and inadequate toilet paper. No milk and inadequate tea bags. Small things that would add very little to cost to have in place and would improve ambience. One fan did not work. nothing. None.
