For the rating of the motel it way exceeded expectation. We normally stay 5 star. It was well appointed and very comfy bed( much better than most 5 stars).Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Pleasantly surprised... Location was fantastic as was the help from the staff. Rooms were very clean, great parking facilities, cloase to all amenities as well as a short walk to the beach. I would definitely recommend staying here.
all reviews » Lynda at reception was fantastic, extremely helpful and had a lovely attitude. Location was perfect walking distance to everything, beach, pubs, cafes. Will be going back there again for a weekend trip. The room was spacious, attractive and clean. The water pressure was amazing. The staff were polite and helpful organising a microwave and cots. All round great motel to stay at and reasonably priced. Being located in the shopping/restaurant area made it easy to walk from the motel. As parking is difficult to find this made it very easy to enjoy the town. The managers of the motel were absolutely lovely & most helpful. They really made sure we were happy. I would definitely stay there again. The managers were very friendly, helpful and gave us ideas of where to eat and sites to see. Great location to the beach and shopping centre. It is a bit noisy but this is minor compared to the best bits about it. The guy next door who abused us for talking too loudly when the key snapped and we were trying to sort it out......it aint the hilton buddy its closer to a motor in. No fault of the motel though. Restaurant out front was closed :(. Sofa bed was a little short however sleeping sideways helped. It is good that they don't sell the room as a four person stay. Restaurant closed during winter & restricted office hours (assume during winter). Nice place but would need a refurbishment rather sooner than later. nothing. Bathroom The shower leaked. We were staying at the ground floor. The noise in the morning could be a bit much- that could possibly be improved by better sound proof doors!?. That there is only one bathroom to accommodate 5 people. That the pool closed so early. And the sliding doors slammed into each other each time you moved them. Not enough privacy for sleeping for that many people and charging that rate for a two night stay. Price, but thats Byron Bay. For a basic room @ $196 per night, a little expensive for room only. n/a. Place needs a face lift and some sound proofing between rooms. nowhere to sit be nice with an outside balcony. The first night we were there we were kept awake all night with an alarm going off in the building next door, the only thing we didnt like. Overpriced for a basic room. small tv, shower screen off bottom tiles, mouldy silicom seal left behind. Manager, owner very busy then short when told.shallow pool.which on main road and not welcoming. They described it as a family room it was very small and crowded. Very hot and noisy.
