We liked the size of the bedroom. Everything was very clean and the staff was friendly. The location is gorgeous, a few minutes by walking from the CBD, a little bit more from South bank but there's a rental bikes station close to the hostel and it's very cheap so you don't have to take any transport if you want to visit the whole city. Teas and coffes were free in the bedroom with many choices. For sure I'll come back here if I'm going back to Brisbane!! Marie.
all reviews » The hotel had fantastic friendly staff that went out of their way to help and make us feel welcome. Fantastic food, rooms were clean and well kept. Room had a beautiful view. Situated in the perfect spot for shopping, going to south bank, restaurants and public transport. Highly recommend staying there. The staff were lovely and very helpful from advising great places to eat, places to take my niece and children really anything I needed. The room was great - huge and really good value for money. I would happily stay there again next time when in Brisbane. The staff was very helpful, especially Meaghan. (I hope I spelled her name right.) She took the time to help us figure our train route and made some excellent suggestions. Comfortable, clean room and a fair price. Close to transit, city sites and shopping. Simple, clean rooms. Excellent value for money - up there for business, so just needed somewhere in the city to sleep and shower! Also, love the plain white bed sheets - hate that most hotels have those awful daggy bed spreads in orange / random patterns!. The location was very central for the CBD and the room cost seemed fair value for money. Very impressed with the quality of the room fit out, which is the standard one would reasonably expect as a benchmark. We will definitely stay at Ibis again. The location was excellent being within walking distance of Roma Street Station The availability of take away food 24/7 was a bonus as we had to leave for the airport very early in the morning. Very convenient to access city ie 5 min walk to Mall for shopping etc. Attention to detail...I Celebrated my birthday while staying in the Ibis and a platter of fruit and a card was left for me. Ibis Brisbane is great for solo travelers who are looking for a place to sleep with in walking distance from the city and business. The lifts were hopeless for the entire week. I was quoted by letsbookhotel.com for $796.00 for the room, yet it cost me $836.00 for the 4 nights?????? I would like an answer. The environment is good, excellent location and quiet. The staff are tuned to my needs and I the rooms are well seat out and neat. A comfortable place at a reasonable price. The beds are some of the comfiest I have ever stayed in. And my party is one part American and one part Aussie, so you would think between to two of us we could figure it out. The room has very little flow to it so there is not much romance to the space. The downstairs staff was not too friendly at anytime. They did their job but with little customer service to speak of. A quick corse on how far smiling, greet guest and eye contact with clients would go a long way. The lifts were hopeless for the entire week. Even though we had 2 queen beds, the room seemed to be set up for one person, eg. only 1 chair, 1 bedside light, 1 towel hook in the bathroom. I personally prefer a hotel with windows that open, or a balcony so I felt a bit claustophobic. No significant complaints. Lack of on-site parking can be very difficult when you have small children. The atmosphere could have been warmer to enjoy the stay. Cost and hassle of parking. We're very happy. No comments for dislikes. I was very impressed with this hotel and I really can't think of anything during our stay that I could say I wasn't happy with. Nothing much. Maybe the 11/2 hour wait for tea was a little long, but the meal was superb. No dislikes,. Did not see this Ibis at her best as renovations to foyer underway, though disruptions minimised as much as possible, and well sign posted. My room happened to be next to a room with a bunch of backpackers who were noisy, and the staff was not very helpful with this problem. The bar wasn't open during the day. elevators- heard a loud "clank" while waiting, and we had to always wait 10+ mins so we stuck to the stairs (i realise that maintence is taking place at the moment). The one way streets around make it hard to get to the ibis and leave. My gps even had trouble, having to pay $27 just to park wasn't very good either. the not knowing about the deposit per night. That the restuarant was not open on the Sunday night. Basic hotel for the price. I was charged for two night's stay when I had changed and confirmed my booking for only one night. I am still waiting for a reimbursement of the overcharge. Also it is now almost a week since I stayed and the $50 deposit taken from my credit card has still not been reversed. I would have liked internet connection to be provided with the room. Also, the car parking cards didn't work on several occassions, so this was a hassle. nothing. Lack of restaurant and/or bar facilities on weekend.
