It was excellently located for transport links, entertainment venues and a short walk to the CBD. The hostel offered a wide selection of entertainment. Rooms were of a good size, staff very friendly and lockers provided in room. I like that the beds in shared rooms are separated with walls so one can get a bit more privacy and the individual reading lights and power points are great too.

Although the first staff member I encountered was unhelpful/rude, there was another that was friendly and helped me carry my suitcase up the stairs. The entertainment can be very loud and go on until very late/ early hours of next day. Not great if you need to be up early. There were not enough forks in the kitchen, there must be like only 4 in total, they should get a new set. And the knives should be sharpened, they are impossible to use!. Nothing-apart from the only wi fi hot spot was in reception!. that it's so claustrophobic having no air in the room as the windows can't open, the AIRCON does not blow air & there are no fans. fix this!!. Ventilation not as good as I liked in rooms. No shower mat. Lumpy mattress. No fridge in room, even a small one be great as hostel kitchen pretty far out of way. Squeaky bed!. Air con in both my rooms was terrible !! C. The coating on the mattresses - squeaky and plastic-like material which made a fair amount of noise when people moved in their sleep. Still, guess it rules out bedbugs. Fellow backpackers who were selfish and disturbing others sleep even at 3 am (there was one who forgot the key from a neighbouring room and he/she kept banging on the dooe until the whole floor woke up), toilets were messy. The room has little ventilation. The staff was not friendly, the rooms with the middle division are extremely small. Very noisy party hostel, we had to sleep with closed windows because of the loooouuud music from the bar next door Kitchen without proper air conditioner, so it was really hot in it very small room The internet was rubbish, 1Dollar for 20 minutes internet access, but it worked only 10 minutes properly. awful smell that came from showers everyday. Wi-Fi costs and is very very very slow.. Noisy, dirty, smelled bad, room next to lift, terrible showerheads, poorly equipped, curtains ripped, lights not working or so dim it was hard to see, especially in the bathroom. Unhelpful staff, were more concerned interacting with friends than offering a customer service. Although on a budget, the room was small compared to other hostels. There were also cockroaches in the room and the shared bathroom was very dirty. The place was dirty and the rooms were crowded and smelly. There were no lifts to my floor and had to take stairs with heavy suitcase. The toilets and showers did not look like they had been cleaned/ were unhygenic. On arrival staff was unhelpful/rude.
