We loved our room, a 2 bedroom. It had lots of space with a big shag rug in the lounge area. Very tastefully decorated. Great kitchen area if you wanted to cook. All the essentials. Loved the river view from our room. Great walking track very close by. Ballina has a great pizza place that delivers. A fantastic place to stay. Loved It !!!. View's were lovely, very quiet area, apartments were clean, tidy and very modern but most of all was very comfortable, relaxing, home from home. We would stay again when we return to Ballina. Peter and Dinah are a lovely couple and very helpful. Thank you again for making our time very enjoyable.
all reviews » The ocean penthouse has stunning views of the coastline and the Serpentine River! Lots of glass doors & 2 decks, one of which was huge. Modern appointments/facilities & comfortable design with the bedrooms/bathrooms downstairs. Beds were comfortable. Travelling with my elderly mother I was impressed with the security and easy wheelchair access from the carpark. The views from our apartment were amazing and the room was spacious and clean. We plan to return again next year!. Our apartment was of a high standard. This included Furniture, fittings and equipment. Part ocean view. Well presented. Secure car parking. spacous. modern furniture. pool and spa. ocean view. friendly. outside was well kept. we were impressed and had a great time. Peter & Dinah were fantastic they were extremely welcoming and friendly. They could not have been more helpful. Beautiful apartment, nicely decorated, fitted out with all appliances. The views were magnificent too. Apartments were spacious, beds were comfortable, kitchen was well equipped and views were amazing!!!. The accommodating attitude of the staff. The whole set up 10/10. Position & Layout. Well given i have a big family, accomindation options r quiet limited but it was nice to be able to stay somewhere with luxury & veiws such as we got. Proximity to the beach and walks. Available space. Too far from restaurants. Spa was small but warm. Lift was difficult to work at times. Once explained a couple time it was no worries. Nothing, we were very pleased with everything!. On arrival from Queensland was informed the elevator was not working; for 4 days had to climb 12 flights of fire escape stairs to the penthouse which included carrying luggage and supplies. The group was made up of 5 adults over 60, one of whom was 73 with a sore knee. No discount was offered for this physically horrendous & very disappointing inconvenience!! Also there was an insufficient supply of tea towels, dishwasher tablets, cutting knives, bath towels for 5 adults over 4 days. We could not fault it. bbq had no gas and didnt want to bother anyone over easter. not many power points in bedrooms accessable for phone and camera charging particularly for groups of adults, so lots of plug sharing upstairs which got in the way. these are not really important but worth noting. Peter& Dinah were put in a horrible position by letsbookhotel.com. They should have recieved an email informing them of our arrival, they didn't and therefore there was no booking in our name. It put them in an awkward position. Nothing. Would have preferred to have spare rubbish bags. small thing, but frustrating when you have to go and but plastic bags to send the rubbish down the shute. Identification procedure at check in. Internet very slow, at times unresponsive. No WiFi, only cable. No rugs, tiled floors with baby!!!. Noisy wedding party on the first night we stayed Drunks fortunately the weather stepped in it started to rain at 100am and the idiots went inside. I think it was fairly pricey really given that it wasnt in the heart of ballina & not peak season. Communication was hard between myself & the guy managing the apartments at the time of my stay. Distance from the main town. No WIFI Poor cutlery Poor cooking facility Ventilation poor Insufficiënt pans.
