It was a very calm peaceful setting in a busy city. We used the Ilum as our base and travelled to other destinations returning to the Ilum each time. This hotel is a gem in Buenos Aires! Located in the city center, at walking distance from the Casa Rosada and the Buquebus departure port, it is a must if you love the atmosphere of the Buenos Aires in the 1950-60 and the tango. The hotel is like a wee museum full of memorabilia related to Buenos Aires' top Tango stars. The breakfast is fantastic (buffet). The staff is very helpful and friendly. Do not miss it!!
