The charming Chengdu Flipflop Lounge Hostel is a 5-minute walk from Chunxi Road Station (Exit E1) in the city centre, which offers direct links to major attractions in Chengdu. The hostel offers free recreational activities like Chinese paper cutting workshops, dumpling/ hotpot parties and Sichuan opera show. Flipflop Lounge Hostel is a 10-minute walk from Jiuyanqiao Bar Street and a 10-minute walk from Xin Nan Men bus station. It takes 10 minutes by car from the hotel to Wuhou Temple and 20 minutes to Thatched Cottage of Du Fu. Offering free WiFi and VPN service in public areas, the hostel features a cosy lounge area with pool table, foosball, and books and magazines. Guests can enjoy Sichuan cooking class (extra charges apply), or arrange hiking and cycling trips at the tour desk. All rooms come with air conditioning and wooden flooring. -Excellent staff. All with great english and happy to help. Chuck, jim and of course rabbit were some of the nicest people I have ever met. Even the kitchen staff and cleaning staff were all extremely friendly despite the language barrier -for the price you cannot beat the single room. Softest bed in china outside of a western hotel. -The food chinese food is average but the western food is pretty good and cheap as far as western food in china goes. -Very big lounge with lots to do -5 min walk .

The private rooms are very clean, and a good value for the money. Honestly, the Flip Flop guesthouse has everything a traveller might ask for: laundry, books, internet, informations about the town and the area, and a nice place to relax and to meet people. 1.Good location, 5 minutes to Exit A,ChunXi Road station by Metro and bus station named Phase 4th,HongXi Road. 2.All staffs are Helpful&Nice ( fd, RA,PA,Kitchen).3.Convenient hotel factilities. Lobby, ent, F&B,Laundry,Wifi are easy to access.4. Travel agent is avaiable at fd. 4. The room was quite and it separated the lobby and the rooms so wasn't loud. The place was in a really convenient place, buses, railways, shoppings and food were all close by. We love Flipflop Lounge because of its nice and comfortable rooms, clean and functioning bathrooms (this was our last stop on a one-month China tour). The location is great, the lounge is big and comfy. A very very nice hostel! It is a very good location, only 5 minutes walking. The common area is very cosy, lot's of places to hang out. The front staff were friendly and the common room was great. Go yourself if you can -there is a weird smell in the rooms but simply turning on the a/c and the bathroom fan gets rid of it honestly i am just nitpicking here, the place was great and i would stay there again for sure. Absolutely nothing !. Dormitory is a little narrow,lack of chair for each room guest, the locker is too small for clothes, no bath towel avaiable in domitory. Locker is too small, no bath towel nor enough chair in dormitory. Nothing! Everything exceeded our expectations. none. Some rooms in level 4 had bad wifi signals. The bathroom light is so cozy that shaving or applying make-up is 'hit or miss'. Nothing to mention. Internet is slower than my Edge phone internet. And my VPNs don't seem to work here. Slow food service. No shower curtain or booth, so the bathroom floor was really wet during our whole stay. stiff bed. Bathrooms were not cleaned properly. the food ordering process is weak and therefore they forgot our order three times. food was ok. Smsll room, very slow wifi. They don't accept credit card. bathroom water does not drain well due to the slop problem, but cleaning staff had come and provide a mop. No window in the bathroom, which can become smelly. Rooms are small and cramped. Wifi very slow, and Internet on the two public computers didn't work when I was there. Slow or no internet connection, because they don't have enough servers for that many backpackers. They asked me to join an activity in the evening and told me that I had to be back at the hostel at 6pm. I rushed to be back on time, only to hear that they cancelled the trip. The guide to the panda tour didn't speak any English. They didn't inform me about this. It is very noisy. Do not get their western breakfast sets. I got a toast set and it came with what looked to be a sad half cooked egg, toast, and some pieces of fruit. My girlfriend got a different set and it was just as pathetic. The food was also very cold. The killer was the service lady who spilled a new drink all over my girlfriend and then just walked away. After realizing she wasn't going to make us a new drink or help to clean up the mess, I had to move tables and then ask for a new drink on my own. Wifi sucks.
